Poco M7 Plus 5G to Get 2 Major OS Upgrades and 4 Years of Security Updates

Poco M7 Plus 5G is set to launch tomorrow in the Indian market, with most of its specifications already confirmed through teasers on Flipkart. The latest update reveals the phone’s software support policy, confirming that it will receive 2 major OS upgrades and 4 years of Android security patch updates. The brand also promises 4 years of battery durability, with the battery retaining 80% of its capacity even after 1,600 charge cycles.

As previously confirmed, the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor with a 4,80,000+ AnTuTu score and up to 16GB RAM, promising smooth multitasking and gaming performance. It will pack a 7,000mAh Silicon Carbon battery, claimed to be the slimmest in its category, offering up to 144 hours of music playback and supporting 18W reverse charging. The smartphone will also feature a 6.9-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate and TUV Rheinland eye protection, and it will be priced under ₹15,000.

From the rumoured details and the confirmed specifications so far, the Poco M7 Plus 5G appears to share its hardware with the Redmi 15 5G, although it has an entirely different design. Poco has also showcased the rear panel in a white colour variant with dual red and blue accents along the side edges. The pill-shaped camera island carries a “50MP AI” label, confirming a 50MP main sensor.
