Poco M7 4G launched globally with 6.9” FHD+ 144Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate display, Snapdragon 685, 7,000 mAh battery
Poco has launched the Poco M7 4G in global markets today, in line with earlier leaks. In terms of design, it closely resembles the Poco M7 Plus 5G, which was recently released in the Indian market. The device features a quad-curved design for improved in-hand comfort and a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a 144Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate.
Poco M7 4G Specs and Features
It comes with a 6.9-inch FHD+ DotDisplay offering a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels. It supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz for compatible apps and a touch sampling rate of up to 288Hz. The display can reach 700 nits of typical brightness and 850 nits in High Brightness Mode. It has TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, circadian friendly viewing, and flicker-free performance. Night mode activates automatically in low-light environments to improve visibility.
Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 4G Mobile Platform built on a 6nm process with an octa-core CPU running at up to 2.8GHz and an Adreno GPU. It runs Xiaomi HyperOS 2. Storage and memory options include 6GB RAM with 128GB storage or 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, using LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The 8GB variant can be expanded to 16GB with memory extension, and the device supports microSD cards up to 2TB.
The battery has a typical capacity of 7000mAh and supports 33W fast wired charging. Sadly, it does not include a charger in the box.
The main camera has a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and supports HDR, Night mode, Portrait mode, Film Camera mode, and Time-lapse recording. Video can be recorded at 1080p 30fps or 720p 30fps. The front camera is 8MP with an f/2.0 aperture and offers HDR, Portrait mode, a soft-light ring, and Time-lapse recording.
The device is rated IP64 for resistance to splashes and dust. It has undergone durability tests, including button presses, micro-drop tests, and charging port wear tests. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, Glonass, Galileo, and Beidou. Additional features include an IR blaster, Hi-Res Audio with Dolby Atmos, a 200 percent volume boost mode, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and AI face unlock.
Pricing and Availability
The Poco M7 4G will be available in black, light blue, and silver with red colour options. Early bird pricing is set at $129 for the 6GB + 128GB variant and $149 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.
In Malaysia, it is priced at RM 469 (down from RM 499) for the 6GB + 128GB model and RM 559 (down from RM 599) for the 8GB + 256GB model.
