Poco C85 5G with 6.9″ 120Hz Adaptive Refresh Display and Dimensity 6300 SoC launched in India

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi recently launched the Redmi 15C 5G in India, and just days later, Poco has now launched the same device under a new name, the Poco C85 5G.

It features a 6.9″ display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 810 nits high brightness mode, 240Hz touch sampling rate, DC Dimming, and TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free performance, and Circadian-friendly behaviour. It is designed to offer comfortable visibility across different lighting conditions.

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM through memory extension and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded (up to 1TB) via a MicroSD card. The company claims the device can maintain stable performance for up to 48 months without noticeable lag.

Poco C85 5G runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2.2 and is scheduled to receive two OS upgrades and four years of security updates. It also supports features such as Google Gemini and Circle to Search.

It comes with a 50MP AI dual rear camera setup and an 8MP front camera, with shooting modes such as Ultra HD mode, Portrait mode, and Beauty mode.

The phone is equipped with a 6000mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging and up to 10W reverse wired charging. Reported usage estimates include up to 2.26 days of battery life, 29+ hours of Social Media Browsing, 16+ Hours of Instagram Reels, 23+ hours of WhatsApp, or 106+ hours of music playback. Furthermore, Poco claims the battery retains about 80% even after 1,000 charge cycles.

The design consists of a slim body with natural colour tones, a quad-curved back panel, and a floating crater camera deco. It measures 7.99mm in thickness.

Other features include IP64 dust and water resistance, Wet Touch Technology 2.0, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI Face Unlock, a 200% volume boost, a 3.5mm headphone jack, support for expandable storage up to 1TB, dual SIM functionality, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4. The device has also undergone durability tests, including 500,000 power button presses, 300 roller cycles, 28,000 micro drops, 1,000 compression tests, and 10,000 charging port insertion cycles.

Pricing and Availability

The Poco C85 5G is offered in a single 128GB storage variant, with three RAM options: 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB, priced at ₹11,999, ₹12,999, and ₹14,499, respectively. Open sales begin on 16 December at 12 PM IST, and the phone will be available via Flipkart and other major retailers.
