Oppo Find X9 Ultra confirmed to arrive with JNL 50MP Fusion Sensor and Hasselblad’s 10x optical zoom telephoto lens; Oppo Find X9 Ultra launch date tipped online

Yesterday, the Chinese manufacturer Oppo officially announced that it will launch its Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Oppo Find X9s Pro smartphones next month in the Chinese market, while the Ultra model will also be unveiled globally next month. As expected, the brand has started teasing the key details of the upcoming devices.
Today, the camera features of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra smartphone have been shared via the Chinese Weibo platform.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra: Camera features teased
Oppo has officially confirmed that the upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra will feature a new Hasselblad-branded 10x optical telephoto lens. The telephoto lens supports native 10x optical zoom, 20x optical quality zoom, and up to 120x digital zoom.
The company has compared putting this lens in the mobile to putting a teleconverter inside a smartphone.
It is revealed that in order to achieve native 10x zoom with a large sensor and large aperture within a slim body, Oppo has adopted an unprecedented 5-reflection periscope architecture that allows for an equivalent focal length of 460mm (20x optical zoom).
Oppo has mastered three core technologies:
- Nanoscale prism cutting & air diaphragm- The company has performed nanoscale precision cutting of the prism, retaining channels only in the core optical path to form an “ultra-high purity air diaphragm,” while the remaining areas are coated with a special ND film.
- Triple AOA Active Calibration- This involves real-time dynamic adjustment of the lens and sensor positions on the production line, followed by three central calibrations to ensure lab-grade optical axis accuracy in every mass-produced unit.
- Customised JNL 50MP Fusion sensor to match the LUMO superpixel engine- This enables full-pixel Hasselblad ultra-high-definition image output and also provides high-dynamic range, high-resolution optical quality 20x zoom. For the 10x telephoto, Oppo has optimized the microlens and color filter, significantly reducing color shading and ensuring accurate and consistent colors.
The sample images for the 10x optical telephoto lens are also officially shared.
