We recently spotted the Oppo A6i 5G with the model number PKW120 on the Google Play Console, MIIT, TENAA, 3C, and China Telecom listings, all of which revealed key specs of this upcoming smartphone for the Chinese market. Now, Oppo has officially announced the launch date of this smartphone, which will happen on September 9th at 7 PM (China time). Along with this, pre-reservations have already begun, and you can pre-book the device through the Oppo China official website.
Here is more to it.
Oppo A6i 5G Specs revealed officially
On the official landing page, the device features a 6,000mAh battery, IP65-rated protection, a Super Anti-fall Diamond Structure that offers drop resistance on both the front and back, and wear-resistant glass on both sides. It also boasts a super bright sunlight screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it visible under direct sunlight, and it supports full touch control even with wet or oily hands.
The A6i 5G will launch in two colour options: Cloudy White and Midnight Black. The listed memory configurations include 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. These same options were also listed on the China Telecom listing.
So far, these are the details confirmed on the official landing page. However, the Oppo A6i 5G was also spotted on the Google Play Console with the model number PKW110, which actually belongs to the Oppo A5X 5G. This suggests the A6i 5G could be powered by either the Dimensity 6300 SoC or the Dimensity 6400 SoC, as both chipsets are essentially rebranded versions of each other.
From the 3C certification, it has been revealed that the device will support 45W fast wired charging. Meanwhile, the China Telecom listing confirms additional details: a 6.67-inch TFT LCD flat display with a resolution of 720 × 1604 pixels, a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera system, and an 8MP selfie camera.
Stay tuned for more updates.
