Oppo A6 5G launching in China on September 30th with IP69 Rated Protection

Oppo has now revealed the launch date for its new A-series smartphone, the Oppo A6 5G, which is set to debut on September 30th in China.

Here is more to it.

Oppo A6 5G launch Date Announced

Today’s poster shows the design of this upcoming smartphone. The visuals match what we discovered in the TENAA certification a few weeks ago. While that certification only showed the blue variant, today’s poster displays three color options- Blue, Pink with a floral swirl pattern, and Grey.

Along with this, Oppo claims a 6-year-long battery life with this smartphone, IP69 full water protection, and a super anti-drop diamond structure. The tagline under which this smartphone is being promoted is “durable, new generation, powerful, and smoother.”

We recently saw this same tagline in an official poster of the Oppo F31 5G Series, which is also launching in India on September 15th. As it was predicted earlier, the Oppo A6 5G will likely be a rebranded Oppo F31 5G.

As per the TENAA certification, it is revealed to come with a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with 1080 × 2372 resolution and 1.07 billion color depth. The listed CPU has a base frequency of 2.4 GHz (likely the Dimensity 6300, as the Oppo F31 5G is also expected to use the same chipset with a matching base frequency), with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB, plus expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD.

The camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary lens on the rear, with a 16MP front selfie shooter. It has a 6830 mAh battery and supports under-display fingerprint scanning and face recognition. Connectivity includes 2G through 5G, dual SIM dual standby, Bluetooth, and USB.

The device includes gravity, distance, and light sensors. It measures 158.2 × 75.02 × 8 mm and weighs 185g. The 3C certification reveals 80W fast wired charging. With the launch date announced, more details will likely follow.
