Oppo A5m 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC and 6000 mAh battery unveiled in China; Arrives as the rebranded version of Oppo A5x 5G Chinese variant

The Chinese manufacturer Oppo has silently introduced its Oppo A5m 5G smartphone in its home country, China. Well, the moniker of this device is new, but it is an exact copy of the Oppo A5x 5G device introduced in China. Both smartphones even arrive with the same model number, PKW110.

Oppo A5m 5G: Features

The smartphone sports a 6.67-inch LCD display that offers HD+ screen resolution, 264 ppi screen density, 1000 nits global peak brightness, up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 16.7 million colours. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The device runs on ColorOS 15.0.

It packs a 32MP wide-angle rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. The smartphone is backed by a 6000 mAh battery and supports 45W SuperVOOC flash charging. It measures 165.71×76.24×7.99mm and weighs 194g.

Other features include side fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, A-GPS assisted positioning, Wi-Fi positioning, cellular network positioning, BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, infrared remote control, IP65 rating, 360-degree drop-resistant, ultra-damp diamond architecture, new generation high speaker with 300% extra loud volume, DeepSeek full-powered assistant, outdoor mode, glove mode, wet/oily hand touch control and AI Image Assistant.

Oppo A5m 5G: Availability

The device comes in Basalt Black, Crystal Pink and Diamond White colours. There are three storage options: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB. The pricing details have not yet been specified on the Oppo China website.
