The Chinese manufacturer OnePlus has today officially introduced its OnePlus Turbo 6 smartphone series in its home country, China. The series includes two models- OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V.
OnePlus Turbo 6 Series: Specs
The series arrives with extra-large golden R-corners, 1.7mm ultra-thin deco design, 3D holographic engraving technology, translucent texture, 50:50 perfect weight balance, and sleek + unified metallic finish. The series supports IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K rating and runs on ColorOS 16. They are backed by a 9000 mAh battery, support 80W SuperVOOC flash charge, 27W super-fast reverse charging, and a bypass power supply.
The devices pack a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera on the rear side and a 16MP selfie camera. Other features include dual SIM, WiFi 7 (OnePlus Turbo 6)/WiFi 6 (OnePlus Turbo 6V), Bluetooth 6 (OnePlus Turbo 6)/Bluetooth 5.2 (OnePlus Turbo 6V), multifunctional NFC, superlinear dual stereo speakers, dual mics, in-display optical fingerprint sensor, infrared remote control, X-axis linear motor, Lingxi touch chip, dual frequency GPS, and triple frequency Beidou.
OnePlus Turbo 6
The device features a 6.78-inch BOE LTPS flat OLED display that offers a 165Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits global peak brightness, 3840Hz PWM Dimming, and 3200Hz Instantaneous touch sampling rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 internal storage. This device has achieved full frame rates of 165/144/120 FPS in its class. It is equipped with a WiFi Chip G1. It weighs 217g and comes with an 8.5mm body.
It is revealed to have passed 7 stringent military-grade tests. The airbag design, aviation-grade aluminium alloy frame, and ultra drop-resistant crystal shield glass provide three-pronged drop protection.
OnePlus Turbo 6V
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM (+12GB Dynamic RAM) and 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. It features a 6.78-inch display that offers FHD+ screen resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate, 1800 nits global peak brightness, and 1.07 billion colours. It comes with an 8.5mm thick body and weighs 215g.
OnePlus Turbo 6 Series: Availability
The OnePlus Turbo 6 device comes in Light Chasing Silver, Ocean Green, and solo black colours. The OnePlus Turbo 6V comes in Nova white, Fearless blue, and Solo black colours. The pre-orders are open now, and the official sale for these devices will start on 9th January.
