OnePlus 15R to Offer an Ace Edition; 7400 mAh Battery, Plus Mind, 4K 120FPS Video Recording, and More Teased Ahead of Next Week’s Launch Event

Next week on the 17th of December 2025, OnePlus is going to conduct its product launch event both in India and globally, and the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 are scheduled to be unveiled (the European market will also be getting the OnePlus Watch Lite too on the same day*). Now, new teaser updates have revealed more about the OnePlus 15R key specs, and it is also revealed to offer an Ace Edition as well.

OnePlus 15R Ace Edition Also Coming

Previous reports have already suggested that the upcoming OnePlus 15R smartphone which is going to be made available in the Indian and global markets is the re-branded version of the OnePlus Ace 6T model that was unveiled in China early this month. Recent teasers had also confirmed the Black and Green color choices for the OnePlus 15R smartphone, while the OnePlus Ace 6T in addition to these two colors was also introduced in a Purple color too.

As per what has been pointed out now, there will be an Ace Edition for the OnePlus 15R smartphone, and it is this Purple color variant of the OnePlus Ace 6T that is coming as the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition. In the teaser poster shared, the tagline – ‘World’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 5’ smartphone has also been used (OnePlus Ace 6T also uses the same chip*), along with the launch date (17th December 2025).

OnePlus 15R – Newly Teased Specs

Via the OnePlus 15R landing pages, key specs such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Chip x Touch Response Chip x G2 WiFi Chip combination, always-on 120 FPS gaming, Android 16-based OxygenOS 16, 165Hz display screen, IP66/68/69/69K rated body, and lifetime display warranty were teased for the device. Now, a 7400mAh battery (smaller than the OnePlus Ace 6T’s 8300 mAh battery*), adaptive vision for better viewing, Plus Mind (personal intelligence), and segment-first 4K 120FPS video recording have also been teased.

A previous leak also suggested a 50MP main (Sony IMX906, OIS) + 8MP ultrawide dual rear camera system and an upgraded 32MP selfie camera for the upcoming OnePlus 15R smartphone.
