OnePlus 15 Teased to Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Chip, Windspeed Gaming Core, and 165Hz Refresh Rate; OnePlus Gaming Conference 2025 to be Held in China Tomorrow

Followed by the recent Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 release, the upcoming OnePlus 15 smartphone has now been teased to feature it. Along with a few other key specs, the brand has also announced the OnePlus Gaming Conference 2025 event in the country.

OnePlus 15 – Teased Performance Specs
As per the newly-shared teaser posters, the OnePlus 15 flagship is pointed out to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and additionally it will also be equipped with the Windspeed Gaming Core. An ‘ultra performance’ is thus claimed on the device and to further enhance its gaming capabilities, a 165Hz refresh rate support will be given on it this time – breaking 5 years of game rules (~120Hz) and bringing a major upgrade in terms of mainstream gaming experience. Tomorrow on the 26th of September 2025 in China, at 10:30 AM local time, the OnePlus Gaming Conference 2025 has also been announced, and it will welcome the 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate era.
Looking into a few other previous updates, the first look of the OnePlus 15 smartphone was recently revealed and it resembles the brand’s already-launched OnePlus 13T and OnePlus 13s devices. Its Geekbench and 3C listings were also spotted, and other key specs such as the Android 16 operating system, 16GB RAM option, and 120W wired fast charging feature were suggested for the upcoming device. To note, OnePlus is also said to introduce its latest flagship smartphone as a gaming-focused device this time.
