Nubia Z80 Ultra – Launching on 22nd of October 2025 in China
Nubia’s Z80 Ultra smartphone is scheduled to make its debut in the Chinese market two weeks later on the 22nd of October 2025, at 2PM local time, and it will be made available to customers in three different colors of Starry Sky Collector’s Edition, Phantom Black, and Condensed Light White. This latest flagship marks the brand’s thirteen years of imaging experience and will be offering enhanced performance capability.
Regarding its design, the display screen has absolutely thin bezels and an under-display selfie camera, and it is flat in shape. The overall body also has a flat and boxy form factor design, with the volume rockers + power button (in Red color) + camera button on the right side panel, and an added sliding functional button at the left. Its corners are slightly rounded too, as well as the edges of the rear panel. Coming to the camera module, it is rectangular in shape and is positioned horizontally at the top of the rear panel. There is a large primary shooter (Hyper-Sensitive XL Sensor, 35mm Neo Master OIS ASPH) within the camera module, along with a 50x OIS periscope telephoto camera system. One more added camera sensor (possibly an ultra-wide camera) is also there, along with other sensors and a microphone hole.
Speaking more, the Condensed Light White color variant (Ningguang White) is considered as the epitome of cleanliness and purity, and its AG glass resembles white pearls. This color variant also features a texture that brightly shines under sunlight, and it has a silver aluminum alloy frame. The camera module of this color variant is also different when compared with that of the Phantom Black variant, and it sports bright silver horizontal strips which extends to the 3D curved edges on both of its sides. On top of these, the main camera unit is highlighted with a Red outer circle.
Apart from the Phantom Black and Condensed Light White color variants, as mentioned, this time too the Nubia Z80 Ultra will be offered in a Starry Sky option with elements from the painting on the rear panel, side panels, as well as within the camera module.
Looking into other previous updates, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip is confirmed for the flagship smartphone, while its Geekbench listing had pointed out Android 16 operating system and 16GB RAM option. Its 3C listing also revealed a 100W wired fast charging feature too. As the launch date has now been confirmed, we can expect teaser updates in the coming days, which will be revealing even more details concerning the flagship smartphone. Stay tuned.
