New Redmi device launch teased in India; Could be a R series model

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi unveiled its Redmi Note 15 Pro series in January this year in India, and since then, the company has not launched a new smartphone in the country.
Well, that’s going to change now, as today, Redmi has officially teased the launch of a new device in India.

The company has not revealed the moniker of the device, but the above teaser suggests that the upcoming smartphone could belong to the Redmi R series. The device is teased with the tagline, “Suit up. Your Hero Mode is Coming”.
The teaser also reveals a slight glimpse of the smartphone. It appears to feature dual camera sensors and an LED flash on the rear panel.
In the coming days, we may come across the moniker and other details of this upcoming smartphone, while the company is also expected to soon announce its launch date.
In related news, Xiaomi has recently started rolling out its HyperOS 3 update for selected Redmi and POCO smartphones and tablets in the Indian market. The devices included in the rollout are Redmi Note 14 Pro+, Redmi Note 13 Pro+, Redmi Note 13 Pro, Redmi 15C, POCO C85 5G, POCO X6, POCO X7 Pro, Redmi Pad 2 (WiFi + Cellular), Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G, Redmi Pad SE, and POCO Pad M1.
