Motorola teases Signature Series smartphone launch in India; Geekbench listing hints at Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
Motorola has teased the launch of a new Signature Series smartphone for the Indian market. The teaser microsite is now live on Flipkart as well, although it does not reveal any specifications beyond confirming the branding.
The microsite mentions “back in 1973 –
motorola gave the world its first
portable phonefrom that moment, innovation became
our signature.now, in an age where
everything looks and feels the same,
we’re redefining what it means to stand out.premium deserves its
signature”
Other than this, no additional information is available on the microsite itself.
However, tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared a screenshot of a Geekbench listing. The listing confirms the Motorola Signature moniker and reveals several key specifications. According to the benchmark data, the prototype achieved a single-core score of 2,854 and a multi-core score of 9,411.

The CPU configuration reportedly includes two clusters, with two cores clocked at 3.80GHz and the remaining six cores running at 3.32GHz. The source code also references an Adreno 829 GPU, which strongly points to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. Additionally, the listing indicates 16GB of RAM and Android 16 out of the box.
Meanwhile, Motorola has already confirmed the launch of the Moto X70 Air Pro in its home market of China. Instead of adopting the Edge 70 Ultra branding, recent rumours suggest that this device may debut in India under the Motorola Signature series. If this turns out to be accurate, the Moto X70 Air Pro is also expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, as previously hinted by Chinese tipster Panda is Bald, and not the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5.
