Meizu 22 Teased to Feature a 1.5K 120Hz LTPO 6.3″ Eye-Friendly Display; StarV Snap AI-Powered Photography Glasses Also Launching Alongside it, Next Week in China

Just recently, the launch of the much-awaited Meizu 22 smartphone was officially announced in China and the brand had teased multiple key specs and features of this upcoming device. Now, via new teasers, more of its display related specs and features have been shared. Moreover, Meizu’s StarV Snap glasses are also going to be introduced in the Chinese market alongside the latest Meizu 22 smartphone.

Meizu StarV Snap AI-Powered Photography Glasses – Also Launching on 15th September 2025

The Meizu StarV Snap AI-powered photography glasses are teased to feature a 39gm human-friendly design and equips a resident AI assistant within it. It is revealed to support both live images and long-term continuous HD shooting (at 720p, single shot up to 10 minutes at 1080p), relying on professional photography technologies, in both landscape and portrait modes. AI features such as Live View, LOMO filters, voice assistant, image recognition, and translation are all pointed out as its further specs as well. A battery life of over 40 minutes can also be expected while shooting.

As mentioned, on the same day on which the Meizu 22 smartphone is scheduled to launch (15th September 2025 at 2:30 PM local time), Meizu’s StarV Snap glasses will also be officially unveiled for Chinese customers. Apart from the Meizu 22 flagship smartphone and Meizu StarV Snap glasses, the brand will also be introducing the Flyme Auto 2 as well as other products too at the upcoming Meizu 22 Flagship Phone and Flyme AIOS Ecosystem Launch Conference.

Meizu 22 – Display Specs and Features Teased

Regarding the teased display specs and features, the Meizu 22 will be having a 6.3″ compact display screen supporting 94.6% screen-to-body ratio, 1.5K resolution, 460 PPI pixel density, 1~120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, 1800 nits global excitation/6000 nits local peak brightness rate, 8T LTPO technology, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and all-weather screen-off technology. Additionally, the device has received the ZREAL Frame Enjoy Ultra HD certification.

Meizu with the brand’s own Ruran Eye Protection Technology is also offering a comprehensive eye protection solution on its upcoming flagship, with hardware-level low Blue light, hardware-level full-range DC dimming, and 10,000-levels of dimming. Both the high screen-to-body ratio and the high brightness rate will ensure an immersive and clear viewing experience too.

Looking into previously-shared teasers, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, 4500mm² VC liquid cooling system, One Mind’s new four-engine optimizations (~6 years claimed smoothness), game adaptive frame rate mode, 50MP (main, wide angle) + 50MP (3x periscope telephoto) + 50MP (ultra wide angle) triple camera unit, 50MP selfie camera, 2.5D micro-arc front, 3D equal-depth four-sided curved back, floating back cover design, 8.15mm thin body, and 190gm weight have been revealed for the device. Also, the Meizu 22 smartphone has received TUV SUD’s S-level certification for gaming scene smoothness and also the TUV SUD 72-month smooth A+ certification.
