Lenovo Legion Y700 5th Gen AI Tablet with 8.8″ Gaming Display and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC Launched in China

Lenovo has launched the Legion Y700 5th Gen AI Tablet in its home market, China. This tablet has been launched with up to 24GB of RAM and several AI features.

Here is more to it.

Lenovo Legion Y700 5th Gen AI Tablet – Specs and Features

The tablet includes a Tianxi Personal Super Intelligent Agent, a system-level AI assistant designed to function as a personalised smart agent. It also features Tianxi AI PadClaw, which can be activated with a one-click setup and works locally, meaning it does not require an internet connection. The PadClaw is optimised for large-screen tablets and adapts based on usage, whether for studying, entertainment, or everyday tasks.

In terms of its display specs, it comes with an 8.8″ LCD gaming display with 3K resolution (3040 x 1904 pixels), 800 nits of brightness, a 165Hz refresh rate, and 12-bit colour depth. The display also offers a 2640Hz (instant) / 480Hz (multi-touch) touch sampling rate, and 10X touch resolution for better “pinch-to-zoom” and stylus accuracy. Additionally, the display is TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light and flicker-free viewing, allowing longer viewing sessions without putting strain on the eyes.

Lenovo has equipped this tablet with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which runs on Android 16 OS. The tablet has scored 4,532,189 on the AnTuTu benchmark. With this score, it is most likely that this tablet will take the throne for the top-performing Android tablet from the Honor MagicPad3 Pro 13.3, which has been at the top of the monthly AnTuTu benchmark performance list since launch. It also features up to 24GB LPDDR5T (10667Mbps) RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 Pro internal storage, which can be expanded via a TF card up to 2TB. To better manage heat, the tablet features a 3rd Gen Qiankun heat dissipation system with a 17,353 mm² super-large VC.

It has a main 50MP rear camera with a LEGION HALO lighting ring, along with an 8MP front camera.

Speaking about the battery, the tablet comes with a big 9000mAh battery with 68W fast wired charging support and also supports bypass charging. Apart from all this, the tablet also features several gaming AI features like AI performance scheduling, AI network acceleration, AI sound detection 2.0 (enhanced footsteps), and AI aiming assist 2.0.

For those who don’t know, this tablet has already been announced in global markets as the Legion Tab Gen 5. However, the global version misses out on the 24GB RAM option.
