iQOO 15 Ultra Launching on 4th Feb in China with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Q3 Imaging Chip, and Shoulder Buttons for Gamers

Vivo sub-brand iQOO has officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15 Ultra, for the Chinese market. The device will be unveiled on 4th February 2026, with the launch event scheduled to take place in Beijing at 7 PM China time.

In one of its teasers, iQOO describes the iQOO 15 Ultra as the brand’s “first high-performance Ultra” model and uses the tagline “Born for the ultimate gamer”, clearly indicating a strong focus on performance and gaming.

Another teaser highlights the phone’s design and materials. iQOO is introducing a new “Future Capsule” DECO design along with “Energy Blade” lighting effects, which are said to give the device a more futuristic appearance. The company also mentions a new Texture on Fiber technology that creates a hexagonal honeycomb-style pattern on the rear panel. According to iQOO, this pattern flows with the phone’s angles and reflects a performance-oriented aesthetic. The teaser further points to a hidden air intake design, which is claimed to contribute to a cleaner overall look.

The teaser images also provide a closer look at the cooling system. An active cooling fan is visible on the right side of the camera module (When looking at the smartphone from the back), while a dedicated outlet on the right frame appears to be used for releasing hot air. Below the camera module, three small openings can be seen, which likely act as air intakes. This suggests that cool air is drawn in from the rear, while hot air is expelled through the side of the device.

Earlier, iQOO’s product director Gallant V also shared the device’s AnTuTu benchmark score, which reportedly crossed 4.51 million points. The brand claims this is the highest AnTuTu score achieved so far. iQOO has also confirmed that the iQOO 15 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, along with the iQOO Supercomputing Chip Q3. The iQOO Supercomputing Chip Q3 is a self-developed, dedicated graphics processor by iQOO, designed to enhance performance and visual processing. This chip is also present on the iQOO 15.

iQOO has confirmed two colour options for the smartphone. One variant is called Flowing Orange 2077, which comes with a black finish, while the second option, Flowing Blue 2049, features a silver finish.

The company has also confirmed that the iQOO 15 Ultra will feature shoulder buttons designed for gaming. These are positioned on the left side of the device (when looking at the smartphone from the back). On the same side, the power button and volume rocker are placed between the shoulder buttons.

Pre-bookings for the iQOO 15 Ultra are currently live in China through JD.com and the official iQOO China website. The JD.com listing shows a reservation price of 9.9 yuan (6.99 yuan for new customers), which allows users to secure a “lucky bag” offer.

The official iQOO microsite has also confirmed the model number V2546A for the iQOO 15 Ultra. This is notable because the same model number had previously appeared on China’s 3C certification platform, where it was confirmed to support 100W fast wired charging.

Correction made at 1:50 PM IST: Earlier, it was written as ‘Snapdragon 8 Elite’, missing the ‘Gen 5’. It has now been updated to the ‘Snapdragon 8 Gen 5’ SoC.
