Infinix Note Edge – Dimensity 7100 confirmed

As per the official announcement, the Infinix Note Edge will be powered by the Dimensity 7100 SoC, marking the chipset’s commercial debut in the smartphone segment. Speaking more about the launch, Infinix has confirmed that this device will serve as the brand’s performance-focused offering in the Note series.

Not only this, but in an official press release, Infinix has also confirmed that the Note Edge will debut with XOS 16, which is based on Android 16, making it the first smartphone to run this version out of the box. Furthermore, Infinix has confirmed that XOS 16 will officially debut on January 19th, 2026, alongside the launch of the Infinix Note Edge.

Speaking about performance, Infinix has confirmed that the Note Edge will support up to 90FPS gameplay in popular mobile titles such as Honor of Kings and Peacekeeper Elite, while PUBG: Battlegrounds will run at 60FPS, all while maintaining stable performance during extended gaming sessions. The company further claims that the device has been optimised to deliver smooth multiplayer gameplay, responsive multitasking, and consistent frame rates, without compromising thermal stability.

Efficiency improvements have also been highlighted. According to Infinix, modem power consumption has been reduced by up to 21%, while background power usage for social applications has been lowered by 4.4%. This suggests improved battery endurance during high-intensity daily usage, including gaming, multitasking, and media consumption.

In related news, the Infinix Note Edge was recently spotted on the FCC certification platform, which further reveals key connectivity and configuration details. As per the certification listing, the device carries the model number X6887.

Looking at the FCC database, the listing confirms 5G network support, along with Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity. The documentation also reveals an 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant for the device.

Speaking more about design-related information, the FCC certification additionally mentions a Titanium Grey colour option.

XOS 16 software experience

Speaking more about the software side, XOS 16 introduces a refreshed UX/UI that is designed to feel lighter, smoother, and more responsive. For the first time, Infinix has integrated Glow Space natural light elements into the interface, using light-sensitive edges and gradual blur transitions across the system.

The experience is further enhanced through semi-transparent UI elements with a frosted-glass finish, extending across system menus, tab bars, and controls. In addition, new 3D spatial wallpapers introduce layered depth between the clock, icons, and foreground elements, creating a more immersive interface experience.

XOS 16 also improves touch responsiveness and interaction feedback, with animations adapting dynamically to user actions. Infinix claims millisecond-level synchronisation between touch input and visual feedback. Alongside this, Live Photo transfer support with iPhone has also been added, enabling cross-platform sharing while preserving motion and audio.

With the official confirmation now in place, the Infinix Note Edge is set to make its market debut later this month. However, details related to pricing, regional availability, and full hardware specifications remain under wraps. More clarity is expected as the January 19th launch date draws closer.
