Honor Play 70 Plus 5G Launched in China with 6.77-inch HD+ Display, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, and 7000mAh Battery
Honor has officially launched the Honor Play 70 Plus 5G in the Chinese market. The Honor Play 70 Plus focuses on long battery life and durability, and comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. It is now available for pre-order and will go on open sale later this week.
Specs and Features
The Honor Play 70 Plus features a 6.77-inch TFT LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 1610×720 pixels. It supports 700 nits of typical brightness, eye protection features, and aluminosilicate glass for added durability. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, which is essentially a rebranded Snapdragon 695 5G, paired with an Adreno A619 GPU. The phone is offered in three configurations: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.
It runs Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0 on top and offers features like face unlock, app cloning, e-book mode, smart capsule, and knuckle screenshots. The rear houses a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, capable of 1080P video recording and up to 8x digital zoom. The front side has a 5MP selfie shooter with support for 1080P video recording and various shooting modes, including gesture and voice-activated photography.
One of the key highlights of the device is its 7000mAh battery, backed by support for wired fast charging. The Play 70 Plus also includes stereo speakers, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB Type-C port. Other specifications include dual nano-SIM slots, 4×4 MIMO antenna support, and multi-GNSS positioning with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou.
Pricing and Availability
In China, the Honor Play 70 Plus starts at ¥1199 (approx. Rs. 14546.87) for the 8GB+256GB variant, while the 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB models are priced at ¥1399 (approx. Rs. 16973.37) and ¥1599 (approx. Rs. 19399.87)respectively. Pre-orders began on August 4 at 10:08 am, and the open sale will commence on August 8 at 10:08 am through Honor’s official store, JD.com, and other authorised retailers.
