Honor Magic V Flip 2 launched in China with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, IP58 & IP59 ratings, and 5500mAh battery

Honor has launched its new flip phone in China, the Honor Magic V Flip 2. It takes over from last year’s Magic V Flip, which arrived in June 2024 with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. This time, the upgrade is clear — the Magic V Flip 2 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and comes in four colours: Dreamweaver Blue (Premium Edition), Dawn Purple, Moon Shadow White, and Titanium Gray. The Dreamweaver Blue model is a special edition designed in collaboration with the famous designer Professor Jimmy Choo.
Honor Magic V Flip 2 (CLE-AN00) Specs and Features
Honor Magic V Flip 2 Premium Edition comes with a 4.0-inch external display featuring 3600 nits peak brightness, 0.1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 405 PPI pixel density, alongside a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED internal display with 5000 nits peak brightness, 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 458 PPI. Both screens include AI Super Dynamic Display, AI True Color Display, Dolby Vision, ZREAL Frame Enjoy HD certification, and Oasis Eye Protection functions such as AI dry eye protection, AI defocus relief, AI sleep aid, and hardware-level low blue light.
The hinge structure uses the latest Luban hinge with a dual-side door design, reducing crease size and improving flatness. The support layer is built with titanium alloy and incorporates small-hole technology, tested to withstand 350,000 folds with creases under 50μm. The device is rated IP58 and IP59 for water and dust resistance.

The Flip 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. It integrates Honor’s RF Enhancement Chip C1+ to improve signal stability and the Energy Efficiency Chip E2 to manage heat. It runs on MagicOS 9.0, which supports AI-based functions including AI-assisted PPT generation, coding, file transfer, taxi-hailing, search, object recognition, screen summarisation, and memory capture.
The rear includes a 200MP OIS-enabled main camera with AIGC 30x zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The front is equipped with a 50MP camera. Additional camera features include AI image-to-video conversion, live collage creation, and multiple portrait filters.
The device has a 5500mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging with a dual-coil design for stable charging. Security options include face recognition and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
