The Chinese manufacturer Honor yesterday launched its all-new Honor Magic 8 series in its home country, China. The series includes Honor Magic 8 and Honor Magic 8 Pro smartphones. At the launch event, the company also introduced its Honor Robot Phone.

Features
Both models are powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. They run on MagicOS 10. They come with 50MP wide and 50MP ultra wide rear camera sensors and a 50MP selfie camera. Other features include dual SIM, 4K 60fps video recording, IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor, dual stereo speakers with DTS:X, Bluetooth 6.0, WiFi 7, Honor AI agent, YOYO agent, Rhino lass protection, NFC, and Magic Color engine.
Honor Magic 8 features a 6.58-inch LTPO quad curved display that offers 1.5K screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 6000 nits peak brightness, and 4320Hz high-frequency PWM Dimming. It is equipped with a 64MP telephoto camera. It is backed by a 7000 mAh battery and supports 90W wired SuperCharge and 80W wireless charging.
Honor Magic 8 Pro features a 6.71-inch LTPO quad curved display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 6000 nits peak brightness, and 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. It is equipped with a 200MP ultra night telephoto camera and has an AI Adaptive Stabilization model, so that the device achieves the industry’s most stable CIPA 5.5 level. The smartphone is backed by a 7200 mAh battery and supports 100W wired SuperCharge and 80W wireless charging.
Availability
The devices come in Sunrise Gold, Sky Cyan, Black, and White color options. The pre-sale has already started in China, and the official sale will start from 23rd October onwards.
