Honor 500 Series officially revealed to be powered by Snapdragon chipsets

Honor 500 Series is scheduled to launch in China on 24th November, and the company has now officially confirmed the date. With the launch timeline set, Honor has started releasing teasers highlighting key specifications of the upcoming Honor 500 Series. In a new teaser released today, Honor confirmed that the series will be powered by Snapdragon chipsets. Here’s more on that.

The teaser confirms that the standard Honor 500 will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, while the Pro variant will be powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Both smartphones have already appeared on the Geekbench database, revealing the same chipset information.

From the 3C certification, it has also been confirmed that both models will support 80W fast wired charging. Meanwhile, the Honor pre-order webpage lists the colour options for the series: Aquamarine, Starlight Pink, Obsidian Black, and Moonlight Silver. The same webpage also confirms the memory options for both models. The Honor 500 Pro will be available in four memory options, which include 12/256GB, 16GB/1TB, 12/512GB, and 16/512GB, while the standard Honor 500 will be offered in three options, which include 12/256GB, 16/512GB, and 12/512GB.

Additionally, earlier teasers have confirmed that the Honor 500 Series will feature a 200MP portrait camera. As more details emerge, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
