Honor 500 Series Debuts in the Chinese Market: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4-Powered Honor 500 and Snapdragon 8 Elite-Powered Honor 500 Pro Unveiled
The Chinese consumer electronics brand – Honor has officially debuted its next 500 series smartphone models. Their pre-sale is currently live in China, and the official sale will be commencing in two days.

Honor 500 Series – Officially Debuts in China
The latest Honor 500 series has made its debut in the Chinese market with two smartphone models: Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro. Both of these offer a lot of similar specs, however there are a few aspects where the pro model brings better features.
Looking at their performance specs, while the Honor 500 occupies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip (clocked at 3.21GHz, integrated with Adreno 825 GPU), the Honor 500 Pro uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip (clocked at 4.32GHz, integrated with Adreno 830 GPU). The Android 16-based MagicOS 10 custom skin is also pre-installed on both these smartphones.
In terms of the display, Honor’s 500 and 500 Pro smartphone models have a 6.55″ AMOLED display supporting 1264 x 2736 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and 6000 nits peak brightness. An aluminosilicate glass protection is also given on the two.
Coming to the cameras, a 200MP main camera (OIS) and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera (117°) are featured at the rear for both the smartphones, whereas an added 50MP periscope telephoto camera (3x zoom, OIS) is also there on the pro model. For selfies, the two smartphones sport a 50MP front-facing camera within the centrally-placed punch-hole unit.
Regarding the battery aspects, a massive 8000 mAh (Si/C Li-Ion) battery is packed within the standard and pro models, and both of them support 80W wired charging and 5W reverse wired charging. 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging capabilities are also additionally supported on the Honor 500 Pro smartphone.
Other key specs include the 2G/3G/4G/5G network connectivity, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, USB-C 2.0, OTG, under-display fingerprint scanner (Honor 500 – optical; Honor 500 Pro – ultrasonic), stereo speakers, IP68/IP69K dust tight and water resistant body, aluminium metal frame, 7.8mm thickness, and 198gm weight for Honor 500/201gm weight for Honor 500 Pro.
Pricing and Availability
Three storage variants are available for the standard Honor 500 smartphone, and customers can get it in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB options priced respectively at CNY 2699, CNY 2999, and CNY 3299. Honor’s 500 Pro smartphone comes in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB storage options, and these can be bought at respective prices of CNY 3599, CNY 3899, CNY 4199, and CNY 4799. Four color choices are offered for the two smartphones, and customers can get them in Starlight Pink, Aquamarine, Moonlight Silver, and Obsidian Black.
The pre-sale for both the smartphones are currently live in the Chinese market, and the official sale is scheduled to begin on the 27th of November 2025 at 10:00 AM local time. During the pre-sale, CNY 999-worth complimentary premium service can be availed by customers. Both the smartphones will be available via Honor Mall, authorized e-commerce platform, Honor Experience Store, and authorized retail stores in China.
