Apple Officially Unveils its A19 Series-Powered iPhone 17 Series Smartphone Models; iPhone Air Also Introduced as the Brand’s Slimmest iPhone Ever

The Cupertino-based tech giant – Apple at its recently conducted Awe Dropping event has officially announced its next iPhone 17 series and three new smartphone models have been unveiled under it: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. As expected, Apple has also introduced a new slim form factor iPhone device as well, however unlike what was reported earlier, it has been brought out as the ‘iPhone Air’ (and not as ‘iPhone 17 Air’).

The newly-unveiled iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max models have arrived with significant upgrades when compared to their predecessors and notably, new Apple A19 series chips, minimum 256GB storage, iOS 26, Apple Intelligence, ProMotion display with adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz, and improved 18MP selfie camera are key highlights.

Apple’s standard iPhone 17 smartphone comes in only two storage options of 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB at a starting price of USD 799. In the Indian market, the two storage variants carry respective price tags of INR 82,900 and INR 1,02,900. Multiple color choices are also available for the device and customers can get it in Black, White, Sage, Mist Blue, and Lavender colors. 

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models are unveiled in three color choices of Silver, Cosmic Orange, and Deep Blue, along with 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 12GB/1TB storage options for the two. Additionally, the iPhone 17 Pro Max has a 12GB/2TB storage variant as well for the first time. For US customers, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max have starting prices of USD 1099 and USD 1199 respectively. Coming to the Indian market, the 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and the 12GB/1TB variants of the iPhone 17 Pro are priced respectively at INR 1,34,900, INR 1,54,900, and INR 1,74,900, whereas the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be offered for INR 1,49,900, INR 1,69,900, INR 1,89,900, and INR 2,29,900 respectively for the 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 12GB/1TB, and the 12GB/2TB variants.

Regarding the availability details, all the three smartphones will be put up for pre-order two days later on the 12th of September 2025, and from 19th September 2025, the brand will start to make them available to customers in different global markets (including US and India).

iPhone Air

The iPhone Air has hit the tech sphere as a new addition to Apple’s iPhone line-up, and it is being marketed as the slimmest ever iPhone with a thickness of only 5.6 mm. Essentially, it replaces the previous iPhone 16 Plus, but unlike the rumored ‘iPhone 17 Air‘ moniker, the brand has decided to name it the ‘iPhone Air’. Also to note, it will only be offered in eSIM option and no physical SIM card variant will be made available for it in any global markets.

The latest iPhone Air as pointed out above will be available in three storage options (of 8GB/256GB, 8GB/512GB, and 8GB/1TB) and four colors choices (of Sky Blue, Light Gold, Cloud White, and Space Black). In the US, it starts at USD 999 pricing, while in India, customers will be able to purchase the 8GB/256GB, 8GB/512GB, and 8GB/1TB variants at respective price tags of INR 1,19,900, INR 1,39,900, and INR 1,59,900. 

Along with the iPhone 17 series, the brand will begin accepting pre-orders for the iPhone Air also on the 12th of September 2025, and it will start to be made available in global markets from the 19th of September 2025 onward.
