After multiple delays, Lenovo has finally launched the Lenovo Idea Tab in the Indian market. As reported earlier, it was initially scheduled to launch on August 1, then postponed to August 5, before the promotional banner was removed altogether. Now, rather quietly, Lenovo has launched it alongside the Lenovo Tab.
Lenovo Tab — Features
The Lenovo Tab features a 10.1-inch Full-HD display with a resolution of 1,200 × 1,920 pixels, a 60Hz refresh rate, and up to 400nits peak brightness. It also carries TÜV certification for low blue light emissions, making it suitable for long usage without straining the eyes.
Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor, paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC storage. Optics include an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. The device also packs dual speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning for immersive audio.
The Lenovo Tab comes with a metal body, houses a 5,100mAh battery supporting 15W fast charging, and measures 9.5 × 235.7 × 154.5mm.
Lenovo Idea Tab — Feature
The Lenovo Idea Tab steps up the specifications with a larger 11-inch 2.5K display (2560 × 1600 resolution), 500nits brightness, 72% NTSC colour gamut, and anti-reflection coating, alongside TÜV Low Blue Light certification.
It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset (2 × Cortex-A76 at 2.4GHz + 6 × Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz) and comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable up to 256GB). The tablet features four Dolby Atmos-optimised speakers, an 8MP rear camera, and a 5MP front camera.
The device includes a 7,040mAh battery that can deliver up to 12 hours of YouTube streaming and comes with a 20W charging adapter in the box. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 5. For convenience, it supports face unlock and ships with a clear case with an inbuilt kickstand, allowing it to double as a digital photo frame or clock in Standby Mode.
Pricing and Availability
In India, the Lenovo Tab is priced at ₹10,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage Wi-Fi variant, while the same configuration with Wi-Fi + LTE connectivity costs ₹12,999. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage Wi-Fi model is available at ₹11,998. It comes in a Polar Blue colour option and can be purchased through Lenovo.com, Lenovo Exclusive Stores, major e-commerce platforms, and other offline retail outlets. The Lenovo Idea Tab, available only in a Luna Grey colour option, comes in a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, priced at ₹20,999 for the 5G + Pen variant and ₹17,999 for the Wi-Fi + Pen variant.
