Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 16″ Launched in India with AMOLED Display, Up to 25-Hour Battery Life, and AI Features
Samsung launched the Galaxy Book5 series in the Indian market back in March this year. At the time of launch, the lineup included the Galaxy Book5, Book5 Pro, and Book5 Pro 360. While the Galaxy Book5 Pro was launched globally in both 14-inch and 16-inch variants, only the 14-inch model was made available in India. The only difference between the two is the screen size; the rest of the specifications remain the same as the 14-inch variant.
Galaxy Book 5 16″ Specs and Features
The 16-inch Galaxy Book5 Pro features a 16.0-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen display with WQXGA+ resolution, 500 nits peak brightness, and a 48–120Hz variable refresh rate. The high-resolution panel delivers vibrant colours, smooth motion, and reduced blue light emission for improved eye comfort. The device is powered by the Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processor (Series 2) in India and comes with Intel’s AI-capable NPU, delivering up to 47 TOPS of performance for next-generation AI computing. It is available with up to 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage.
The laptop also integrates Galaxy AI features such as AI Select and Recall, enabling users to intuitively search and revisit past content using touch or S Pen. A dedicated Copilot key on the keyboard provides quick access to AI tools. Additional productivity features include a 2 MP webcam, dual microphones, and quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It also ships with a Pro Keyboard that includes a numeric keypad and runs on Windows 11 Home.
In terms of battery, the 16-inch model offers up to 25 hours of video playback and is backed by a 76.1Wh battery with a 65W USB Type-C charger. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A port, a MicroSD card slot, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone/mic combo jack. The smart touchpad features adaptive palm rejection and subdivided zones for more accurate input.
Designed for portability and integration within the Galaxy ecosystem, the Galaxy Book5 Pro supports Quick Share, Multi Control, and Second Screen, allowing seamless file transfers and dual-screen setups with Galaxy devices. It also supports Phone Link to share mobile data. Measuring 355.4 × 250.4 × 12.5 mm and weighing 1.56 kg, the Galaxy Book5 Pro 16″ is available in a Grey finish in India, combining powerful hardware, AI capabilities, and ecosystem connectivity into a sleek and lightweight form factor.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 16-inch variant is available in India in two configurations via the Samsung India website. The base model includes 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, and is powered by the Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processor 256V, priced at ₹1,44,990. The higher-end version features 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage, and runs on the Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processor 258V, priced at ₹1,76,990. Both models run Windows 11 Home and feature a 40.62 cm (16.0-inch) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display in a gray colour. In the box, users will find the Galaxy Book5 Pro laptop, a USB-C to USB-C cable, and a compact charger.
