Dell Technologies reintroduces XPS laptops with reimagined designs, expands its Alienware line and launches two UltraSharp monitors at CES 2026

During the CES 2026 event, Dell Technologies announced a strategic expansion of its consumer and gaming portfolio.
Dell XPS reintroduced with a complete redesign
The new XPS 14 and XPS 16 feature a sleek design crafted from CND-machined aluminium, refined interfaces, stunning displays and optimised performance. The XPS logo takes its place on the front cover. They include easy-to-remove keyboards and are the first XPS devices to feature modular USB-C ports. Recycled steel is incorporated in the hinges, plus recycled cobalt and copper are present in the batteries. These devices meet the latest EPEAT 2.0 standards.
The XPS 16 and XPS 14 come with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and built-in Intel Arc graphics featuring 12 Xe cores. These processors also power Copilot+ PC experiences while enabling faster image editing, smooth video playback, and lag-free gameplay. They measure 14.6mm. The company has integrated the thinnest and narrowest 8MP/4K camera ever integrated into a Dell laptop and has implemented 900ED battery cells.
The XPS 14 weighs roughly 3 pounds, and the XPS 16 comes in at 3.6 pounds. Dell is bringing tandem OLED as an option to the XPS 14 and XPS 16, while the standard 2K LCD panels deliver crisp clarity. They deliver up to 27 hours for video streaming or 40+ hours with local video playback.
With a 1 to 120Hz variable refresh rate, the LCD panel drops to 1Hz for static content and ramps to 120Hz when you are scrolling or watching a video. The company has also completely redesigned the thermal system.
Apart from this, it is revealed that later this year, the XPS portfolio will expand with new products across different price points and form factors. Firstly, the XPS 13 will be the most accessible XPS price point yet.
Availability
The XPS 14 launch configuration is priced at $2,049.99 (US), and the XPS 16 launch configuration is priced at $2,199.99 (US). Limited configurations are available for purchase, while additional configurations, including new starting configurations well under $2000, will be available in February.
Both models will be available in Graphite, with the Shimmer colour option becoming available later this year. The XPS 14 will also be available with Ubuntu 24.04 later this year. The new XPS 13 will also be available later this year.
Alienware expansion
Later this year, the brand will introduce two new product classes: an ultra-slim gaming laptop (roughly 17mm thin) that pairs high performance with unmatched mobility, and a new entry-level laptop that brings Alienware to a much broader audience at significantly lower price points.
Alienware debuts anti-glare OLED displays on the 16 Area-51 and 16X Aurora laptops. These displays let gamers experience the deep blacks, vibrant colors and exceptional contrast of OLED in any lighting condition.
These laptops, along with the Alienware 18 Area-51, feature the new Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors. The Alienware Area-51 Desktop is equipped with AMD’s new Ryzen 9850X3D processor and 3D V-Cache technology.
Availability
The Alienware 16X Aurora, Alienware 16 Area-51, and Alienware 18 Area-51 will be available in Q1, 2026, while the Alienware Area-51 desktop will be available in February 2026. The pricing details have not yet been announced.
