Google to introduce its first AI glasses with Gemini next year

A few months back, at the Google I/O event, the company announced that it is working with Samsung and partners like Gentle Monster and Warby Parker to develop Android XR glasses that are lightweight and also come with Gemini capabilities to make your everyday work easy.
Now at The Android Show: XR Edition, Google has officially announced that its first AI glasses with Gemini will be arriving next year.
It is revealed that the company is creating two types of glasses- the first is AI glasses designed for screen-free assistance that use built-in speakers, microphones, and cameras to let you chat naturally with Gemini, take photos, and get help. And the second is display AI glasses, which add an in-lens display that privately shows you helpful information right when you need it, like turn-by-turn navigation or translation captions.
The upcoming AI glasses are expected to compete next year with existing models from Meta Platforms Inc. The launch timeline for the upcoming AI glasses with Gemini capabilities is a mystery for now, but in the coming days, the company may reveal some more details.
