Samsung Launches Galaxy Buds 3 FE with ANC, Galaxy AI, and Up to 30 Hours of Battery Life with Case

Almost two years later, Samsung has launched the successor to the Galaxy Buds FE, called the Galaxy Buds 3 FE. Rumours and leaks had already revealed most of the details about the earbuds, and now the device has gone official.

Each earbud is equipped with a 1-way (11mm) dynamic driver and supported by a triple-microphone setup that enables Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) and Ambient Sound mode. This combination ensures clear music playback and better call quality, while letting users choose between blocking out background noise or staying aware of their surroundings.

Battery life is another highlight, with the earbuds housing a 53mAh battery and the charging case carrying a 515mAh capacity. With ANC turned on, users can expect up to 6 hours of music playback on the earbuds alone and a total of 24 hours with the case. Disabling ANC extends usage to 8.5 hours per charge and up to 30 hours with the case. For calls, the Buds 3 FE last for about 4 hours, while the case stretches total talk time to 18 hours.

Connectivity is powered by Bluetooth 5.4, and the earbuds support Samsung Seamless Codec (SSC), AAC, and SBC, making them versatile across devices. They also feature Auto Switch for easy transition between compatible Galaxy devices, along with intuitive controls via proximity, hall, touch, and pressure sensors.

Samsung has added Galaxy AI capabilities, including Interpreter and Live Translate, when paired with select Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Voice wake-up through Google Gemini is also supported on devices running One UI 8.0 or later.

In terms of build, the earbuds weigh just 5 grams each and measure 18.0 x 21.1 x 33.8 mm, while the charging case comes in at 41.8 grams and 58.9 x 48.7 x 24.4 mm. The earbuds, rated IP54 (case excluded), are resistant to dust and light splashes, making them practical for daily use.

Pricing and Availability

According to the press release, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE will be available in two colour options, Black and Gray. Sales will begin from September 5 in most markets, while the US landing page confirms availability starting September 4 at a price of $149.99. The India release date has not been mentioned in the press release, though it is likely to follow sometime after September 5.
