Nothing Ear (3) launched with 12 mm drivers, Static Spatial Audio, and wireless charging
Nothing earlier announced that the Nothing Ear (3) would launch on September 18. However, in a sudden change, Nothing has unveiled the Nothing Ear (3) ahead of schedule, which the company says are its first earbuds to incorporate metal elements into the transparent design.
Here is more to it.
Nothing ear (3) Specs and Features
The much-talked-about feature is the new Super Mic, a dual-microphone system housed in the charging case. According to Nothing, it can cut through background noise of up to 95 dB and can be activated via the TALK button (located on the charging case) for calls or instant voice notes. Voice notes sync with Essential Space and are transcribed automatically, though this feature is currently limited to Nothing OS devices. Each earbud also includes three directional mics, a bone-conduction voice unit, and AI-powered noise cancellation trained on 20 million hours of audio, achieving wind noise reduction of up to 25 dB.
The Nothing Ear (3) comes with a 12 mm dynamic driver with a patterned diaphragm, delivering stronger bass, clearer highs, and richer mids. As per nothing, the Noise cancellation adapts in real time (up to 45 dB) to maintain consistent isolation.
In terms of battery, the earbuds pack a 55 mAh cell each, while the case carries a 500 mAh unit. Nothing claims up to 10 hours of playback per charge without ANC and 38 hours with the case. You also get Wireless charging in the charging case.
Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC, low-latency mode (120 ms), and effortless pairing on Android, iOS, and Windows. Other features include Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, Hi-Res certification, in-ear detection, LED charging indicators, low-latency mode, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance for both the earbuds and case.
The Nothing X app further enhances the experience with custom EQ with profile sharing, personal sound profiles powered by Audiodo, dynamic bass enhancement, customisable controls, ear tip fit tests, firmware updates, and a Find My Earbuds feature.
The charging case is crafted from 100% recycled aluminium, and both the earbuds and case carry an IP54 rating for durability.
