JBL launches JBL Quantum 950, 650 and 250 headsets with 50mm carbon dynamic driver

Right after the JBL Quantum 650 showed up on the NCC certification, JBL went ahead and made it official. Along with the Quantum 650, JBL has also launched the Quantum 950 and Quantum 250 headsets. All three models come with 50mm carbon dynamic drivers and support spatial sound. The standout, though, is the Quantum 950, which brings 3D Head Tracking. This feature uses sensors and software to follow head movements in real time, adjusting audio and visuals to match. The result is a more lifelike and immersive experience, especially useful for gaming in virtual or augmented reality.

JBL Quantum 950

The Quantum 950 sits at the top of the lineup, equipped with 50mm carbon dynamic drivers and support for spatial sound with 3D head tracking. It offers dual connectivity through a 2.4GHz low-latency dongle and Bluetooth 5.3. A wireless base station is included, providing controls for RGB lighting, EQ presets, and game-chat balance. The headset supports adaptive noise cancelling with an ambient aware mode and features a 6mm boom mic. Battery life is rated at 25 hours per cell, with two batteries provided and hot-swappable support. Replaceable parts include the mic, cushions, cable, hammock, and earcup cover. It is Zoom certified and comes in black and white, priced at €349.99.

JBL Quantum 650

The Quantum 650 also features 50mm drivers and supports spatial sound. Connectivity includes a 2.4GHz dongle and Bluetooth 5.3, but unlike the 950, it does not include a base station, RGB lighting, or noise cancellation. It uses a 6mm boom mic and offers up to 45 hours of battery life. The battery is replaceable, and components such as the mic, cushions, cable, hammock, and earcup cover can be swapped out. It carries Zoom certification and comes in black, white, purple, and teal, priced at €149.99.

JBL Quantum 250

The entry-level Quantum 250 retains the 50mm carbon dynamic drivers and spatial sound but uses a wired 3.5mm connection. It does not include features such as noise cancellation, RGB lighting, or wireless connectivity. It comes with a 6mm boom mic, and while it lacks battery-powered operation, replaceable parts like the mic, cushions, cable, and hammock are supported. Unlike the other models, it is not Zoom certified. The Quantum 250 is available in black, white, purple, and teal, with a price tag of €59.99.
