Kingston Dual Portable SSD: Features and availability
The company has introduced its first cable-free Dual Portable SSD that can easily transfer files between USB Type-A and USB Type-C devices such as laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and more with USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds up to 1,050MB/s read and 950MB/s write.
This all-in-one storage and transfer solution boasts capacities up to 2TB for large files, high-res photos, and 4K videos. The Dual Portable SSD features a sleek look of a traditional drive in a compact, durable metal casing. It measures 71.85×21.1×8.6mm and weighs 13g. It is compatible with Windows 11, macOS (v. 13.7.6+), Linux (v. 4.4x+), Chrome OS, Android, iOS/iPadOS (v.13+). It supports an operating temperature of 0°C~60°C and a storage temperature 20°C~85°C.
It comes with a limited five-year warranty and free technical support. It is available in three capacity options: 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. These variants use 3D NAND flash. The 512GB variant is priced at $140, the 1TB variant is priced at $166, and the 2TB variant is priced at $331. It is available via Amazon US and Kingston retail stores.
