Women’s FIFA World Cup 2023 : England faces Northern Ireland in the qualifying event

The ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup that has been scheduled to happen from 20 July to 20 august in 2023 will be organized jointly by Australia and New Zealand, this quadrennial world championship is organized by FIFA for women’s national football teams.

The qualifying event that would act as a medium for the national women’s football teams to enter and be a part of the main event would be conducted by England. Although the Lionesses faced a defeat in the 2019 women’s world cup semifinal after a tough competition with the United States, they have again emerged this year to perform with a new spirit. The Northern Ireland team would be competing with the Lionesses this time at Wembley Stadium.

Although England suffered backlashed in their last games, the team, under the leadership of Sarina Weigman, has scored a 10-0 against Luxembourg and 8-0 against North Macedonia in the qualifying event last month.  According to various sources, the Manager of England’s team has chosen tough competitors for both the teams of Northern Ireland and Latvia.
