Victoria Benham’s £2.4 Million Diamond necklace is making rounds on social media
Since photographs of Victoria Beckham emerged from her son Brooklyn’s wedding to Nicola Peltz, everyone has been talking about her amazing silver slip dress.
However, in addition to her stunning gown, many people were astounded by the massive diamond necklace she wore to the occasion.
According to Vogue, David gave Victoria the necklace when Brooklyn was a baby for his christening.
The 21.5 carat diamond is set on a French 18 carat yellow gold handmade filigree link guard chain, which a jewellery expert estimates to be worth €2.4 million.
The necklace’s pendant is claimed to be formed from a chain that dates from circa 1870. It has a figa, which is a complex sign.
A figa is a talisman symbol worn to ward off the evil eye and, when presented as a gift, to bring good luck.
The wedding had a talisman theme, with Nicola’s mother, Claudia, asking the Valentino seamstresses to weave an evil eye into the bride’s gown’s skirt lengths.
Victoria wore a handmade gown she fashioned herself as the mother of the groom on the big day.
“A special dress for a special day,” she remarked, elaborating on the gorgeous gown. Our London atelier created the first Victoria Beckham couture gown.
“The unique fabric was created by one of our favourite mills in Italy, and it hangs like liquid metal.
“The lace is made up of three separate styles, which are then combined to make a new lace that is then manually stitched. Six members of my highly brilliant London atelier team worked on the outfit for five days.
“It’s been a labour of love, and I’m so grateful to my amazing team for coming up with something so lovely for me.”
