KL Rahul puts all rumours and reports aside

The squad for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour has been announced and once again, Gabbar, Shikhar Dhawan will be leading in the three match ODI series, senior players and first choice players are rested and players like Washington Sundar and Deepak Chahar are making a comeback.

However, the regular vice captain and key player KL Rahul is still missing from the squad, Rahul was named in the T20I squad for the West Indies series but he was ruled out a day prior to the 1st game due to being tested positive for Covid – 19, he was later replaced by Sanju Samson.

Zimbabwe tour was supposed to be his comeback time, but the Karnataka boy is now recovering from a groin injury, although, he got his surgery done in Germany and was then training at the NCA in Bengaluru. But, the wicketkeeper has still not recovered fully from the injury, claims sources.

KL has released a statement on his Twitter handle and has put all the scandals and rumours and has clarified all his well wishers.

The tour of Zimbabwe will be played from August 18 to 22 at the Harare Sports Club.
