India vs West Indies; 2nd ODI

The Men in Blue have performed at par excellence under pressure and have sealed the One Day International series, India are 2-0 up now and the third one will just be a formality for Rahul Dravid’s boys.

Windies side won the toss and elected to bat first at Trinidad, a special one for Shai Hope as he was playing his 100th ODI game, it was a cherry on top of the cake for the wicketkeeper, as he smashed a ton on the occasion. Kyle Mayers, Shamron Brooks and captain Nicholas Pooran also made important contributions for the team.

The West Indies set a target of 312 for India.

It was seeming that India will have to start with attacking form to chase down the score, but team India made a total team effort and the knocks of Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and most importantly Axar Patel stole the game from the Caribbean nation.

India managed to chase the target with two balls to spare, Axar Patel was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all round performance of 1/40 in 9 overs and a 35 ball 64*.

The last and final ODI will be on 27th at Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad.
