On Saturday, Marseille midfielder Jordan Veretout was brought in as a replacement for the injured Boubacar Kamara, the day after Kamara had replaced Adrien Rabiot.

Manager Didier Deschamps is already without Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, who was the major trump card for the current World Cup champs, the striker has been diagnosed with two thigh injuries sustained during his side’s Champions League match at Celtic earlier this month.

France will sqaure off against Austria on Thursday and will head to Copenhagen after three days to take on host nation Denmark. However, due to relegations, France is last on the Group 1 rankings with just a couple of points in four games, Denmark is leading all the way with nine points.
