Deontay Wilder vs Robert Helenius

Deontay Wilder is reportedly close to agree for a fight with Robert Helenius later this year. Since getting back to back losses against Tyson Fury in 2020 and 2021, they are also the only losses of his career.

The fight is scheduled on October 15 and it will see Frank Sanchez fighting on the undercard, reports are to be believed by ESPN.

The venue for the Boxing Scene will be at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, which is also the place of four Wilder wins in the past.

If all is well, and the fight happens, Wilder will be the favourite to walk out winner, due to his pedigree as a former world champion who has won ten successful title defences in the past.

On the other hand, Helenius is a two time European champion and has defeated three former world heavyweight champions.

An interesting match will be in the making and the crowd will be having a ball to see the two men beat the hell out of each other.

“It’s mixed feelings because ultimately I have accomplished all my goals in this sport,” Wilder said.

“I’ve done that. There’s a lot of things that I’ve accomplished that I don’t feel I have to prove to anyone because I’ve already proven everything [myself],” added Wilder.
