Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Aaditya Thackeray spoke on Sunday claiming that Eknath Shinde was offered the position of the Chief Minister. He said revealing the incident, “On May 20, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray called Eknath Shinde and asked him to become CM if he wanted, but at that time, he did drama and started weeping. Just a month after, he broke into rebellion.”

He added, “However, at that time, Shinde had daily-dallied, was evasive and did not give a proper response. I had heard of some murky going on. Exactly a month later on June 20, Shinde and his group started the rebellion in the party.”
