In Odisha school’s principal was suspended when students danced to the Pushpa song
A video of several students dancing in a classroom to a song from the Telugu film ‘Pushpa’ went popular on social media, prompting the suspension of the principal of a high school in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
Several kids from Baramundali High School’s Sheragada block gathered in the smart classroom. The teachers had given some recommendations for the High School Certificate exams before leaving the room without locking it. According to the district administrator, some kids in the room may have connected the TV to their mobile phones.
They were seen dancing to the beats of ‘Srivalli,’ a popular song from the Allu Arjun movie, in two 14 and 24-second dancing videos that went viral on social media platforms recently. The music was playing on the LED television that had been erected in the classroom as part of the school transformation program to teach the students.
Headmistress Sujata Padhy was handed a show-cause notice, according to Block Development Officer Bhaskar Lenka, but she did not respond sufficiently. Padhy has been suspended from work since Wednesday, according to District Education Officer Binita Senapati.
According to the Print, The official went on to say that an investigation was underway and that more teachers would be disciplined for dereliction of duty.
