Hoax bidder for Air India in order for Tata to win the auction?

According to Bharatiya Janata Party MP Subramanian Swamy, Air India’s bidding process was unconstitutional, bad faith, corrupt, and rigged in favour of the Tata Sons.

“The sham Bidder for Air India to enable Tata get the bid in the rigged auction”, he said.

Tata Sons won a Rs 18,000 crore bid for the indebted Air India.

He also stated that SpiceJet was not entitled to bid because insolvency proceedings were pending against it in the Madras High Court.

According to the Rajya Sabha MP, he is raising concerns about unfairness, illegality, malpractice, and corruption in the disinvestment process.

In response to Swamy’s claim that SpiceJet was the second bidder, the Solicitor General stated that the airline was not part of the consortium that applied for the bid and that the pending proceedings against him had nothing to do with the matter.
