Gautam Adani donates around Rs 60,000 crore to charity on his 60th birthday

Gautam Adani, an Indian billionaire and the Adani Group’s chairman have pledged to donate Rs 60,000 crore for the social causes as a token of love, on his 60th birthday. Along with his 60th birthday, he also celebrated his father, Shantilal Adani’s 100th birth anniversary.

Consequently, this donation will be used for boosting the health care, education and skill development across India. This initiative will be operated by the Adani Foundation itself.  Also, this donation is considered as one of the largest donation ever made to a foundation in the history of Indian corporates.

Adani has said that he wants to build the country as an equitable, future-ready India. And for that, the country needs to focus on the sectors which mainly includes healthcare, education, and skill development. If one among them lacks behind, it will create a barrier on the future ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.’

The Adani group, which started with a small scale agri-trading firm in 1988, has now became one of the largest company globally.  Currently, it is one of leading integrated business conglomerate empowering India.
