YouTube launched Primetime Channels that you can watch directly on TV

YouTube is putting all of your favourite content in one place, from creator videos to Academy Award-winning films and episodes of your favourite shows.

YouTube has just rolled out a new feature called Primetime channels. With this new feature, people can now buy subscriptions to their favorite TV channels from YouTube directly. According to a Blog post by YouTube, so far around 30 channels are available on Primetime Channels.

However, in the same post, it is written that NBA Season Pass will soon be added to this service. Since youtube has gained a great amount of viewership, this will help content creates and reach a TV audience also.

So far SHOWTIME®, STARZ, Paramount+, AMC+, and ViX+ are going to be available with a total strength of 30 channels and other streaming services will soon be added to this portfolio.

When you sign up, the content from your Primetime Channels will be reflected in the YouTube experience you’re used to. Primetime Channels homepages will feature shows and movies with curated trailers, behind-the-scenes footage, and cast interviews for fans who want to delve deeper into what they’re watching. When searching for content from your purchases, you’ll be able to quickly identify and access them alongside videos from your favorite creators in the search results. Furthermore, YouTube recommendations will include Primetime Channel programs, delivering a personalized selection of content across YouTube that appeals to all of your interests.
