The Fame Game Starrer Manav Kaul talks on his OTT success

Manav Kaul is an Indian actor, theatre director, author, playwright and a filmmaker. Before starting his theatre career, he was a swimmer at national and state levels championship. Recently, he was seen in the OTT hit show, ‘The Fame Game’ (TFG) along with Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Kapoor.

In 2004 he started working on his various theatre groups out of which, his notable plays were Ilhaam, Park and Shakkar ke Paanch Daane, which was his first outing as playwright and director.

He also wrote ‘Tumhare Baare Mein’, ‘Bohot Door, Kitna Door’, ‘Prem kabutar’ and ‘A night in the hills’.

Manav was seen in many movies named Land of the little people, Jai Gangaajal, Ghoul, Tumhari Sulu, The Music teacher, Albert Pinto ko gussa kyu aata hai?, Dybbuk, Madam Chief Minister, Ajeeb Dastaans, Nail Polish, The Fame Game and Jalsa. He was nominated for the best supporting actor in Filmfare award for his role in Tumhari Sulu.

After his hard work for 2 decades in the film industry he said that things are finally getting on track with him. Things are finally working for him. Audience saw his different kinds of roles and accepted him and the roles he played.

He also stated that the OTT platform is a place for all creative people starting from Director, writers to the crew members who are constantly striving and showing their potential in their work.

I feel the first demand of OTT is to showcase something original and new. Whereas for theatre, the chances for experiment is less.

What makes me happier is that there are so many women writers, so many stories about women and so many women-led projects.

I feel now men and women are getting equal opportunities as everyone has a chance to tell their stories in industry.

He also shared his experience of how the audience praised him for his work. They accepted him in his new role in The Fame Game, Ajeeb Dastaans.

He also praised Madhuri Dixit and said, ‘She is so charming and humble and our pairing worked. People loved our chemistry and many even texted saying they want a prequel to explore the love story some more. I am thankful that the show and my character was loved.

In Nail Polish film, he claimed that his role in the film was the most difficult role he did so far.

His most notable character is Superstar Manish Khanna (TFG).
