Simon Pegg is All Set to Return as Hughie’s Dad in The Boys Season 4

It’s no surprise that a fourth season of The Boys, one of Amazon Prime’s best original series based on a Garth Ennis comic book series, was bound to be announced following the release of season 3, in June 2022.

If you haven’t watched the show, here is how The Guardian succinctly describes it:

“Bored to death of billowing capes? This black comedy about an anti-superhero unit is a rocket full of Kryptonite – and a welcome respite from Marvel overkill.”

In the following seasons of The Boys, Simon Pegg, who was seen to be one of the most unexpected stars to appear, did not return, however, this is about to change with the impending release of Season 4. While the actor appeared in five out of eight episodes in the first chapter, with no appearance in the second chapter and a special guest appearance in the season 3 premiere, his sporadic appearances throughout the series make his return a rather intriguing thing for the viewers to consider. Furthermore, Rosemarie Dewitt, who will portray Hughie’s mother in Season 4, will be seen alongside him.

Though the new season hasn’t yet received an official release date, it is now in production and is scheduled to wrap up in March 2023, with a projected release date of sometime in the upcoming fall.
