Oscars 2023 snubs ‘Avatar’ director James Cameron, Tom Cruise and many more

We often hear award shows messing up or being unfair. We still would be surprised to hear about Oscar being unfair. However, many people are criticizing it for the recent show.

The Oscars failed to see the brilliance in the movie “Avatar: The Way of Water” that was directed by James Cameron. The director was not even nominated for the Best Director Award by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ members. It is one of the most notable Oscar snubs.

After this, Oscar also failed to recognise Tom Cruise for his work in “Top Gun: Maverick” for the best actor category.

With these two very popular and very loved films not getting the recognition they deserve, people sure are bummed out about The Oscars.

The films, however , made it on the list of 10 nominees for best picture, joining biopic “Elvis” and multiverse adventure comedy “Everything Everywhere All at Once”.

The best picture list, however, was still criticized for not adding “Babylon” and “La La Land” director Damien Chazelle’s. The A-list celebrities, Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt, were also left off the list of acting nominations.

Oscar goes beyond messing up this time also because there are no female nominees for best director. People are heavily disappointed seeing Taylor Swift, Viola Davis and Danielle Deadwyler getting snubbed as well and are actively vocal about it.
