Gateway Of India got Lid up with Stranger Things 4 just like Burj Khalifa does
The introduction of the popular Netflix series Stranger Things 4 Volume 1 was celebrated at the Gateway of India, a major landmark in Mumbai, ahead of its premiere. Similar rifts have been springing up in the most unexpected places since Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) opened open a portal between Hawkins and the Upside Down in 1983. The creators wanted Indian audiences to have a taste of Upside Down’s environment.
THE GATEWAY OF INDIA CELEBRATES THE LAUNCH OF STRANGER THINGS
Rifts appeared on some of the world’s most renowned monuments to commemorate the return of Stranger Things (through projection mapping).
The Empire State Building in New York, Duomo Square in Milan, Bondi Beach in Australia, Malecon Barranquilla in Colombia, and The Wawel Castle in Krakow, among others, are among the 15 prominent landmarks (across 14 nations) that have joined this unusual effort.
Stranger Things 4 fans in Mumbai were treated to a spectacular celebration that included a one-of-a-kind projection mapping of the city’s most famous tourist attraction, The Gateway of India. The heritage landmark was lit up with a larger-than-life display of popular pieces from the series, taking over Mumbai’s night skies.
It showed Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and the rest of the gang, as well as all of the mayhem that awaits them in the Upside Down.
The tourists to the Gateway of India were enthralled, and they were photographed and videotaped.
INTRODUCTION TO STRANGER THINGS 4
“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins,” according to the official Stranger Things 4 synopsis. Our group of friends is separated for the first time as a result of the aftermath, and negotiating the complexity of high school hasn’t made things any simpler.
A new and terrifying supernatural menace emerges at this most vulnerable period, posing a horrible puzzle that, if answered, could ultimately put an end to the Upside Down’s atrocities.”
Stranger Things was created by The Duffer Brothers and is produced by Monkey Massacre Productions and 21 Laps Entertainment. The Duffer Brothers, Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment, Iain Paterson, and Curtis Gwinn serve as executive producers.
