Daniel Craig says he’s ‘eager’ for Knives Out 2 and teases how it’ll be different

Daniel Craig may not reprise his role as James Bond after No Time To Die, but he will reprise his part as Benoit Blanc in the forthcoming Knives Out sequel. Craig’s investigator will tackle a fresh mystery in the sequel, which will include a new cast featuring Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Ethan Hawke, Jessica Henwick, Kathryn Hahn, and Madelyn Cline.

While the storyline of the film has been kept under wraps, the actor revealed what fans can anticipate from the sequel in a recent interview with Empire, as well as why he’s enthusiastic about it. Craig said that the sequel’s footage was completed “literally weeks ago.”

“We’ve just finished the second one, just weeks ago,” he added of the forthcoming picture. They recently finished in Serbia. Is it possible to claim it’s better? We’ll have to wait and see. I don’t want to put myself in jeopardy. It’s unique, and that’s what makes it so fascinating. It’s still a Benoit Blanc mystery, but this time it’s a little different. According to Empire, “I’m extremely thrilled about it.”

The actor also expressed his delight at the prospect of working with filmmaker Rian Johnson once more. “I’m very blessed to have Rian [Johnson] in my life,” he told Empire of his thoughts when Johnson initially approached him about playing Benoit. He’s a fantastic writer. When that script arrived, I said to myself, “Are you kidding me?” I couldn’t do it.

Following the success of Knives Out, fans have great hopes for the sequel, and with the amazing cast that has already been confirmed, it looks like it will be a thrilling watch. The film will be released in 2022.
