SpaceX said to raise new funding at $400B valuation

SpaceX’s valuation was set at $350 billion during the tender offer held in December 2024, and now it is said that the company is once again in talks to raise new funding.

According to a report by Bloomberg, SpaceX is looking to raise fresh capital by selling shares to insiders in a deal that would boost its valuation to around $400 billion. SpaceX’s strategy involves launching a primary fundraising round during which it would sell a small number of new shares to investors. Then, concurrently, SpaceX would sell employee and early investor shares in a secondary offering, with the price being determined by the primary round.

SpaceX typically holds tender offers twice per year. Since the discussions are still ongoing, the details regarding the deal could still change. If all goes well, then this would mark the largest ever valuation for a privately held US company.

It is said that the valuation reflects a range of factors, including the rise of its fast-growing Starlink satellite internet unit and the company’s ability to achieve new milestones with its Starship rocket program. Back in March 2025, SpaceX officially signed an agreement with Bharti Airtel to bring Starlink’s high-speed satellite internet to India.
