POCO India’s head Himanshu Tandon reportedly resigned from POCO; Said to join Nothing’s CMF brand

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO holds a major place when it comes to the overall growth of Xiaomi in the recent quarters. POCO smartphones have attracted a lot of consumers in India due to amazing features and design at a reasonable price. As per Snayam Chaurasia, Principal Analyst at Canalys, “Redmi has not been able to attract consumers in the retail channel due to a lack of tangible design enhancements, but POCO has been driving growth for Xiaomi.”
POCO is led by its country head, Himanshu Tandon, in India, who was part of the founding team of POCO. Well, today a shocking news has been revealed by folks at MoneyControl, Himanshu Tandon has resigned from POCO. The report also reveals that Tandon is likely to join Nothing’s sub-brand CMF, which has recently shifted its global marketing functions to India.
Xiaomi has been witnessing shrinking market share and falling smartphone shipments, and now this turns out to be a major exit from Xiaomi India. This news has also left many users in shock, though the official statement from either of the companies (Xiaomi, POCO, Nothing) is still awaited.
