OnePlus Not Shutting Down in India, Confirms CEO Robin Liu Amid ‘Dismantling’ Rumours

A recent report published by Android Headlines has sparked widespread speculation, claiming that OnePlus is “dismantling itself” and could be gradually absorbed into its parent company Oppo. The report suggested internal challenges at the company, possible product cancellations, and even shutdowns of regional offices.
However, OnePlus has now officially denied these claims — at least for its Indian operations.
Addressing the growing concerns, Robin Liu, CEO of OnePlus India, took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the company’s position and firmly rejected the shutdown rumours for the Indian market.
He shared the following statement:
“Recent unverified reports claiming OnePlus is shutting down are false. OnePlus India’s business operations continue as normal. We urge all stakeholders to verify information from official sources before sharing unsubstantiated claims.”
I wanted to address some misinformation that has been circulating about OnePlus India and its operations.
We’re operating as usual and will continue to do so.

This confirmation makes it clear that OnePlus will continue its business, product launches, and operations in India without disruption.
While OnePlus India has issued a clear denial, the company has not yet released any official statement regarding its US operations. This leaves some uncertainty around the future of the brand in North America, especially in light of the claims made by the report.
